Understanding
Relational Wellbeing

For most of us, as our relationships go, so goes our sense of overall wellbeing and calm in everyday life.  When we feel securely connected to the people in our lives, the ups and downs of living feel a little easier to manage and we feel anchored knowing we’re not alone.

When we feel securely “attached” to a partner or loved one, it can give us the courage to make moves in our careers and towards life goals. When we feel disconnected, whether it’s after an argument or a recurring pattern of behavior, everything feels a little bit “off”.  Relationship difficulties can be a major source of anxiety, depression, and loneliness.

Make Better Connections

We can help you understand what is getting in the way of the connection you desire.  Are you consistently feeling anxious about not being close enough to someone?  Do you tend to feel smothered after an initial ‘honeymoon period’ and then need more space, or end relationships?  Does it seem like you keep picking the wrong type of partners?  We have advanced training in relational and interpersonal therapy and are firm believers that strong relationships are a key predictor of wellbeing and happiness.  We’ll dive in with you to be curious about what has and hasn’t been working in your romantic, family, friend, or community connections.  Together, we’ll work towards helping you feel more at ease and secure in the relationships that matter most to you.
